The 2019 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition features two unique educational programs that will open attendees’ eyes and minds to not only what is possible, but also what is happening in the world of science. This afternoon program, which takes place on December 10, will help attendees consider how science could impact pharmacy in the near future and determine ways that practitioners might incorporate exciting innovations into their pharmacy practice.
Programs in this new track include Autonomous Delivery: Your Drone Has Arrived! and How Disruptive Innovation Is Changing the Healthcare and Pharmacy Ecosystem. Program presenters will describe how packages of life-saving medication will arrive at hospital doors by drone, minimizing patient wait time and maximizing the concept of “just in time” inventory. In addition, they will detail disruptors in the healthcare and pharmacy ecosystem that are evolving in real time, equipping pharmacists with a frame of reference to anticipate changes on the horizon and determine ways to incorporate these exciting developments into their strategic plans.
